Purchase a Painting On-Line
Thanks for considering the purchase of one of my paintings. Each of my large paintings is unique in dimension, weight and packing requirements. Some are framed and ready to hang. Some are not. Some are glassed, requiring even more protection and packing, and some are not. Basically, I can't just stick a large framed painting in a padded envelope and drop it off at the post office. Because I don't want to arbitrarily overcharge (or undercharge) for shipping, buying a painting requires that you contact me to determine shipping charges to your destination. This lets me do a first pass packing test on the painting and get a price for the type of shipping it requires.Buying On-Line also means you are going to use PayPal, either by withdrawing money from your existing PayPal account or paying through PayPal with your credit card. Either way, PayPal handles the transaction. I do not have the capability to directly process credit cards. PayPal transactions are secure and they handle the business of taking your money, your credit info, and your shipping address. They pass the necessary information on to me. I never see your credit card information.
Once you indicate your desire to purchase a painting, I put a reserve on the artwork. The reserve lasts until I respond with shipping costs via email and for 48 hours after that. This should allow ample time for you to set up a PayPal account using a credit card (setting up a PayPal account that draws from a bank can take longer and I recommend getting an account prior to shopping here). A buyer may only reserve one painting at a time in this manner. If there are multiple requests for a painting (wouldn't it be nice to be in that kind of demand?), they will be processed in order recieved with later requests taking a secondary position.
Remember, the art pieces found on these pages are all one of a kind items. When a given piece sells—it's gone. Sold items will be marked as such as soon as possible.
Shipping
Shipping is done through the U.S. Mail service, first class or priority mail (depending upon weight). International shipping is more expensive still and likely to be quite expensive for wood-framed paintings. Shipping costs are noted for each piece in the catalogue. If you prefer to use another carrier, most are available in this area and we will do what we can to accommodate your wishes. Be warned, this can be substantially more expensive. You will be billed the actual cost for shipping plus a packing and handling charge.Your order will be shipped within 1 to 2 days of your being notified of receipt of payment. Occasionally, this will be longer due to the artist being away (the cats have not been trained to fulfill orders).
